Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Sr. Systems Administrator to support and maintain core infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role will be responsible for a mix of server administration, network support, security, endpoint management, and day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain physical and virtual server environments
  • Monitor system performance and support backup, patching, and overall server health
  • Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including connectivity, switching, wireless, and related equipment
  • Support firewall, VPN, and general security administration
  • Provide workstation and laptop support, including deployment, imaging, patching, and lifecycle support
  • Perform user access and identity administration within Microsoft environments
  • Support directory services, group policy, and general security settings
  • Assist with software deployments, updates, and routine maintenance activities
  • Support telephony and other connected business systems as needed
  • Maintain inventory and documentation for hardware and related technology assets
  • Assist with infrastructure improvements, technical projects, and ongoing operational support
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of systems administration experience in a Microsoft-based environment
  • Experience supporting Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Experience with virtualization platforms
  • Experience with networking technologies such as switches, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Experience with desktop support, software deployment, and patch management
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, backup and recovery, and user administration
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, networks, and endpoints

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
  • Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure
  • Experience with virtual desktop or remote access environments
  • Experience with firewall and VPN administration
  • Familiarity with VoIP or business phone systems

Compensation and Additional Information

  • Up to 125k, DOE
  • Mostly remote
  • Broad technical exposure across infrastructure, networking, security, and endpoint support
