Celebrating Excellence in Tech: Winners of the 2025 Women In Technology Awards Honored by the Technology Council of Central PA

Championing Tech Visionaries: Seven Recognized for Their Contributions to the Central PA Tech Industry

[September 25, 2025] Seven Women In Technology Award winners were named during the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s event last night. This year’s Women In Technology Awards marked the 9th anniversary of the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania’s continued commitment to celebrating women, and their supporters, who are innovators, role models, trailblazers and inspirations within the technology community throughout the Central Pennsylvania region. 


This year's award recipients were selected from a pool of highly accomplished nominees, each representing the diverse and dynamic landscape of technology in Central Pennsylvania. The winners exhibited unparalleled commitment and consistently pushed the boundaries of what was possible in their respective fields.


The 2025 Women In Technology Awards winners are as follows:

  • Kayla UnderkofflerNext Gen Award: Recognizes an up-and-coming young woman who is making a difference in technology in our region. Underkoffler is the Lead Security Engineer in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer with Zenity.
  • Shirley E. ClarkMoxie Award: Recognizes a pioneer who has blazed the trail for other women in technology to follow. Clark is the Acting Director for the School of Science, Engineering, and Technology at Penn State Harrisburg.
  • Bree GillespieDiversity & Inclusion Award: Recognizes a woman’s active commitment to inclusion and diversity in technology. Gillespie is the VP Client Engagement with coLAB Inc.
  • Vahid MotevalliWomen In Tech Ally Award: Recognizes an individual, organization or business for their outstanding achievements or contributions as an Ally to women in tech. Allies are recognized for empowering women in tech through everyday actions to successfully contribute to a more diverse tech industry. Motevalli is the Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg.
  • Jamie VranichImpact Award – Private Sector / Entrepreneur to Small Business: Recognizes a woman in technology whose contributions have had a positive impact in the Entrepreneurial / Small Business sector (companies employing less than 50 employees). Vranich is the Co-Owner and Managing Partner of See Me Rolling.
  • Kelly ThomasImpact Award – Private Sector / Medium to Large Business: Recognizes a woman in technology whose contributions have made a positive impact in the Private Sector / Medium to Large Business market (companies employing 50 or more employees). Thomas is a Software Engineer with Cargas Systems.
  • Soumya KrishnamurthiImpact Award – Public Sector / Government: Recognizes a woman in technology whose contributions have had an impact in the Public Sector / Government. Krishnamurthi is a Senior Leader with the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.

“This year’s award winners embody the innovation, leadership, and dedication that make Central PA’s tech community so exceptional,” said Alexis Gosik, President and CEO of the Technology Council of Central PA. “Their impact reaches far beyond their own organizations—serving as an inspiration to others and paving the way for future generations of women in technology. We are honored to celebrate their achievements and excited to see the continued difference they will make in our region and beyond.”


The 2025 Women In Technology Awards ceremony took place on September 24, 2025 at the West Shore Country Club in Camp Hill, PA. The event was a vibrant celebration of innovation, excellence, and empowerment within the tech industry, with industry leaders, advocates, and aspiring tech professionals in attendance.


In addition to the seven awards, Women In Tech scholarships were awarded to Munia Kamal (Elizabethtown College, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Class of 2027); Alessia Revelli (Susquehanna University, Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Data Science, Class of 2026); and Taylor Strader (Elizabethtown College, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Class of 2025).
